Seeing as quite a few people have asked how we create our Dalek and other sounds, I've decided to put the details here. First thing you'll need is a copy of the excellent shareware WAV editor Cool Edit 96. If you don't know where to find it, I'd suggest visiting the Syntrillium website.

You'll find the unregistered version doesn't have all the features enabled at the same time so you might have to muck around a bit.

Cool Edit 96 has a script function which allows pre-programmed scripts of effects to be added to selected portions of audio. You will need to download our Dr Who FX script...
